Bookkeeper - Family Office

Location: Connecticut

Client Partner: Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Compensation: $26 - $28/hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday (On-Site)

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to support their prestigious family office in Connecticut. This vital role blends administrative and accounting responsibilities, specifically supporting a personal family business. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, and contributing to the smooth operation of the office.


Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate income and expense records, post transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports. Includes A/P and A/R for various family members and family-owned entities.
  • Financial Statements: Assist with the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Record Management: Organize and maintain financial documentation such as invoices and receipts.
  • Administrative Support: Provide clerical and administrative support to the family office, including data entry, filing, and special projects.
  • Tax Support: Assist with tax preparation by compiling necessary documentation for returns.
  • Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations and accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
